Putin Augustus

A peculiar resemblance has been noted. Russian President Putin looks a lot like Caesar Augustus who ruled the Roman Empire for over 40 years around the time of Jesus' birth. A coincidence?

It's funny that nobody is picking up on the Putin/Augustus similarities. Putin is working the same magic that Augustus did, huh?

Man Augustus and Putin do have a lot in common when you think about it.

Of the top of my head, I can think about how they somehow blend "Democracy" with autocracy.
They both on way or the other "proscribed" a lot of members of the oligarchy.
They were handpicked by their predecessors and highly underestimated when they came in.
I'm sure if I research I could find a lot more...

But I feel Putin does have a Marc Antony... oh well please feel free to comment.
